PADEL COURTS
Coordinate the playing rectangle, clear height, enclosure and local site works before finalising your court order.
The internal court is 20 × 10 m. The full site also needs structure, access and circulation. Reserve those spaces separately.
| Item | Rule reference | Project implication |
|---|---|---|
| Playing rectangle | 20 m × 10 m internally; 0.5% tolerance | Do not confuse this with the external enclosure footprint |
| Clear height | 6 m minimum; 8 m suggested for new facilities | Check the lowest obstruction throughout the court |
| Net height | 0.88 m at centre; 0.92 m at ends | Install and check the tensioning arrangement |
| End enclosure | 4 m overall, with 3 m wall and 1 m mesh above | Side arrangements must follow the permitted configuration |
| Playing lines | 5 cm width | Coordinate contrast and the symmetrical layout |
Show columns, fixed equipment, court orientation and all entrances. Use measured dimensions and mark anything that cannot move.
Record the lowest element over the playing area. An average roof height can hide a beam or duct that blocks the required envelope.
Outdoor exposure, drainage and local ground information influence the design. Indoor condensation and glare deserve early attention.
Check unloading, crane or forklift access, turning space, crate storage and movement into the final installation area.
| Item | What to specify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Glass | Thickness, treatment and panel schedule | A commonly offered 12 mm panel is not a universal approval |
| Steel | Grade, sections, connection details and load calculations | Do not substitute an advertised section size for engineering |
| Protective finish | Coating system, target thickness and measurement plan | Write the acceptance criteria and repair method into the order |
| Turf | Product, pile, infill and installation instructions | Check its relationship to the selected base and intended use |
| Lighting | Layout and photometric results | Luminaire count alone does not prove the required lighting |
| Documentation | Applicable reports, declarations and traceability | Check model, issuer, scope and validity; labels alone are insufficient |
Send a measured site plan, lowest clear height, intended use and local design requirements. Your local designer reviews foundations, structural exposure, drainage and approvals. VELNUZ coordinates the selected court components and supporting documents. Any required certification must be verified for its actual scope before ordering.
